I’m a PhD candidate at UC Berkeley, where I’m studying the impact of leg loss on cockroaches. I take videos of them and measure how much oxygen they consume while they’re running on miniature treadmills. After working many hours of experiments, one observation that I feel pretty confident in is that cockroaches and I share negative feelings toward treadmills.
