Ben Marcus received his PhD in neurobiology from the University of Chicago in 2016, where he studied the role of learning and memory in drug addiction. He spent a year as an account executive in science communication at HDMZ, a life science marketing agency in Chicago, where he wrote op-eds and technical articles for biology trade magazines as well as white papers and blog posts for several life science companies. Ben is now a senior account executive in public relations at CG Life, another life science marketing agency, where he plays an integral role in developing media strategies and creating content for variety of stories in the life science sector. He is also a co-editor of the Illinois Science Council blog and the co-founder of SciReach, a global directory of science communication and outreach organizations.
