I did my Masters in Biotechnology and got to know about scicomm during last year when the pandemic started. I read and researched about it out of my boredom. I got pretty curious about communicating science that made me start my career in the research publishing industry. Here I dealt with manuscripts from submission to acceptance, checking them during the initial stage of submission, I communicate with authors, reviewers, editors and help them out with their doubts. I did not stop here I started doing internships in content reviewing and writing. Completed a one-year training course in science journalism, wrote few articles and landed on my second job, JoVE (Journal of Visual Experiments). I work here as an Editorial Assistant performing quality checks on video projects, storyboards, assisting with light editing and proofreading. I joined massive science to learn more, enhance my skills and create a portfolio for myself. I am also planning to do PhD in marine sciences.
