Emily Harari

Emily Harari is an undergraduate researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. She studies how a pathogenic fungus called Entomophthora muscae infects and controls the behavior of “zombie flies.” She is passionate about science journalism, engaging general audiences in academic research, and sparking dialogue between different disciplines. Her experience interviewing scientists for the Berkeley Scientific Journal and her passion for story telling inspire her scientific writing. She intends to explore a career in science communication through writing and various other mediums including film, medical illustration, and podcasts.
